How is the fabric printed?
Janice Nelson Designs utilizes a sustainable pigment printing process for all of our fabrics. Our eco-friendly, earth conscious choice creates virtually no waste in the printing process. Janice Nelson Designs is proud to work with a United States printer in order to support American business. Please read more about our products and mission in the About section above.
How should I care for my product?
Product care varies from item to item. Please keep in mind that pigment ink sits on the surface of the fabric. Excessive wear and tear may cause the ink to fade, therefore heavy use is not suggested for these decorative items. Direct sunlight may cause fading. We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by improper care. Over time, our fabrics will soften with use. Care instructions are as follows for each product:
Pillows
Spot-clean only. Cool water is suggested. Warm-iron on back of printed design. Hang to dry if any moisture is accrued on the surface. Machine-washing may cause fading.
Tea Towels
Hand wash with cool water and mild detergent. Hang to dry. As with any washable product, please keep in mind that fading may occur.
Table Runners
Spot-clean only. Cool water is suggested. Warm-iron on back of printed design. Hang to dry if any moisture is accrued on the surface. Machine-washing may cause fading.
Fabric
Spot-clean only. Cool water is suggested. Warm-iron on back of printed design. Hang to dry if any moisture is accrued on the surface. Machine-washing may cause fading.
Silk Scarves
Spot-clean only. Cool water is suggested.
Do you sell pillow inserts?
Yes we do! We offer a luxurious 90/10 feather/down insert for both the 16"x16" and 20"x20" pillows. You may purchase a pillow with or without the pillow insert. These options are available on the pillow product pages before checkout.
What if an item is out of stock?
Keep in mind that some of our items are made to order. These products will take 3-4 weeks before shipment. If an item is not made to order and is out of stock, it generally takes 3-4 weeks to be restocked. Once restocked, the standard 5-business-day shipping allowance will apply. If you are interested in an item that is out of stock, you may wait until more are available on the website or contact info@janicenelsondesigns.com to be placed on a waitlist. You will be notified when an item is back in stock and will be first to be able to place an order for the product(s) you are interested in.

Possible variations include, but are not limited to, slight differences in measurements, printing, and sewing. Handmade items hold a certain beauty that makes them unique and intriguing in their differences. These variations are the hallmark of hand-crafted art. Variances in the natural fabrics are also expected due to the natures of linen, cotton, hemp, and silk. Please keep this in mind when receiving an item. All natural fabrics soften with use and develop a beautiful patina over time. All goods are thoroughly inspected before shipment, and Janice Nelson Designs takes pride in the quality of each hand-crafted item.
